Hearing loss affects approximately 15% of U.S. adults<\/a>. Because hearing loss is considered an invisible condition, you may not be aware of the people in your life living with it. Taking time in 2024 to learn about and engage with hearing loss is one way you can help lessen its invisibility. Two opportunities to engage with hearing loss this year include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. World Hearing Day (March 3rd): The World Health Organization initiated World Hearing Day<\/a> to promote ear and hearing care and prevent hearing loss.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. National Speech-Language-Hearing Month (May): ASHA’s month-long campaign<\/a> aims to raise awareness about speech disorders and prioritize hearing health.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
